Sheffield Steel, Yemeni Dreams
In the 1950s thousands of young men and boys came from rural Yemen to the steel foundries of Sheffield. These undervalued heroes of the Steel City were given a chance to tell their stories, opening the eyes of their families and the wider community.
Part of an extensive programme of Life Story research undertaken by the University of Sheffield's School of Nursing and Midwifery.
